Welcome to AID-TAMU SWAAD 2007 ONLINE TICKETING SYSTEM
Swaad, a taste of India, is our main fundraising event. In this event, we have several cultural displays, henna stalls, handicraft stalls, games stall, Bollywood stall, and the main attraction – Indian food. This event has been happening ever since AID-TAMU started operations and it has now become a much awaited event in the cultural calendar of Texas A&M. Last year we had 40 volunteers working towards the event which had 600 tickets and was sold out nearly three days before the event. The event had an extremely diverse audience and included several families and children. This year, due to the demand, we have increased the number of tickets to 800. The menu this year has more than 10 main dishes but still the price of tickets is kept at just 12$. Last year we raised 8000$ from it and this year we are hoping to make it 10,000$. The entire event is managed by students. Most of the cultural displays are hand made. The entire food is made by students. The cooking itself involves two full days of back breaking work from the volunteers.
